Racer MCX machining centres designed individually for customer need

Racer International has introduced the MCX series of CNC multi-column machining centres, which have multiple workstations in both horizontal and vertical axes. The machine is capable of concurrently performing milling, drilling, and tapping operations, eliminating the need for multiple machines and manual setups.

This is a designed-to-need machine with two spindles. It can be configured with horizontal spindles, vertical spindles, or one of each. BIG-PLUS, CAT-50, and HSK-A63 spindles are available ranging from 12,000 to 28,000 RPM, depending on the application.

A separate tool changer is supplied for each spindle, and the number of stored tools is based on the application.

Its advanced programming capabilities support complex machining tasks and intricate part geometries, and a user-friendly interface reduces the learning curve and empowers operators to swiftly adapt to the machine's capabilities, the company states.

The machine’s rigid structure is designed to minimize vibrations. The motion control system and servo drives optimize both surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.

Safety features like interlocking doors, emergency stop buttons, and protective enclosures are included.

These machines can be automated with a robot and ship with either a FANUC 31iB or Siemens One control.
